Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1996 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, released in May 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. The artist has already released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by the band Oasis for a Christmas advertisement by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. It earned her some attention. Make it a special day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding a piano in her attic and being fascinated by the sound it could produce. The parents of her May-Britt family as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a profession or a pastime, but as a way to develop. She began to write with her own music. Her inspirations include famous writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her love of Bjork's style. Her mother had told her the songs she composed were not meant to gain fame for her rather to help people to see their own value and impact to our world at large, she began performing them publicly. As a young girl she started playing the piano, and when she was nine was writing music. The family did not know until the age of 14. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. Aurora says she loves writing songs. To her music, is the most effective means of communicating anything.
